HELLLOOOOOO land after a week.
Firatly, sorry for the lack of updates. Been at sea where internet and emails are a luxury and expensive so expect lesser posts than I thought I´d have? Anyway, i´m keeping track with stuff so if you send an email to my semesteratsea email I will reply you (yes, that email is free)
Sea has been fun! Luckily not seasick at all. The ship definitely rocks alot and it takes time to get used to, but the rocking feeling is great. After a while, its soothing and you are so used to it, it becomes kinda hard not to have the rocking motion to put you to sleep. ahahah. the rooms are tiny, but comfortable. I have a little window from which I can see DOLPHINS JUMPING. yes, i´ve seen dolphins a couple of times and its REALLY awesome. No other nice sea animal though.
I´ve got a pretty nice roommate from Colorado and have made a few good friends. People are generally nice and friendly and you can just about hang out with anyone for a meal. Classes are alright too. Its hectic-ish cause they happen everyday when at sea. There´s kinda no weekends, we just alternate between A day and B day. But when there´s so little days at sea, whats there to complain right? But teachers are pretty interesting. I especially love my Poverty and Economic Development class (much more than my finance), might just be hint that I´m in the wrong faculty - oh wells.
ANYWAY, I AM IN SPAINNNN. we docked at cadiz and I´m currently at Seville. Both places are reallllly pretty! Old buildings and road, cathedrals, restaurants, little shops, people going off for siestas (afternoon nap), FANTASTIC FOOD, GREAT DRINKS - Sangria, Red wine of summer, sherry. Great people. And apparantly, a great nightlife. Havent seen all that much, but regardless to say, i AM EXCITED. i´ve always wanted to see spain and i´m just sad its soo few days here. I decided to just do seville and cadiz independently, with friends, instead of barca or madrid. Hope I don´t regret that decision.
Anyway, email me at siyer@semesteratsea.net if you wanna communicate :D
